Intellectual Property
Agritechnology’s work revolves around the use of intellectual property. We often generate new IP protected by patents, trade marks etc. Companies need to be aware of their IP position when developing solutions; it is possible that a solution may contravene protected IP. Using other people’s IP can require licensing agreements or, if used inadvertently, could be subject to expensive legal claims.
Agritechnology does not offer a patent search service, however, we can help clients understand the IP landscape and determine your “freedom to operate”. If novelty exists, Agritechnology can advise on the level of IP protection appropriate to the end use, eg patent, trademark, trade secret.
